Ascension of the Lord
Mt 28:16 - 20

       It is a fact, not a slogan. Our God is one and is a blessed Trinity of three persons in one God. Like many precious things in life, this fact can only be appreciated and not understood. It cannot be discovered but is made known by God through his son Jesus Christ. It is only through faith-filled prayer that we can grow into an awareness of this inner nature of God. To find the exact and apt word to describe another's personality is difficult and usually it is only somebody who is close to the other person who can make an effective attempt at the task. It is only the lover glimpses the unique awesomeness of the loved one. So it is not surprising that before returning to the father, and having promised the Holy Spirit, Jesus sent the apostles out to make disciples of all nations, instructing them to have as the foundation of their work, baptism in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

This is still the foundation of our faith and the core of Christ's parting message to us.
