Foreword
Our
journey with God through the Word in the everyday gospel, continuously
amazes and challenges us as he reveals himself and his plan of salvation.
At times we question him or even doubt him because of the tragedies
happening around us. But he has never abandoned us, his invitation to
be with him and to know him is constant.
The everyday gospel and reflection of the Bible Diary
and Daily Gospel hope to lead us in knowing and relating with God our
Father more deeply. He continuously reveals himself through the silence
of our hearts. As we come to know him more in our prayer and in our
relationship with him, we look forward to see the light amidst all the
darkness around us; the hope amidst hopelessness; the life amidst the
culture of death and the faith amidst all the questions and doubts.
In this edition, we have Frs. Ferdie Santos, Orlando
Cantillon, Renato Jose Lopez, SSL, Rene Manubag, CMF, and Danny Huang,
SJ, to lead us into our daily reflection. Each of them comes from
different ministries giving us a variety of experiences and testimonies.
Their lives in their ministries give life to the Word.
We hope that at the end of the year our journey with
the Word will lead us to a deeper commitment and relationship with the
Word as his disciples. God wants to journey with us through his Word,
the Word that gives and transforms lives. May our journey with Him convert
our lives to be a life giver to others.

Using This Daily Gospel
...
keep in mind the "WORD". It will help you become a better follower
of Christ Jesus our Lord.
Word
of God is our daily companion to our everyday life. It inspires us,
challenges us, confronts us and guides us. Reading it will help us know
more Jesus who we are called to follow. Our everyday life will be accompanied
by his day-to-day life.
Offer
to God our experience of the day, the good and the bad things that happen.
Every experience that we have forms and leads us to what and where we
want to be. They become the best teachers in life, as we reflect on
them, pray and offer them to God.
Reflecting
on the Gospel and on our Experiences is our Prayer. Events happen in
our life for a reason that many times we do not understand. God has
his way of communicating his message to us. He talks to us amidst all
the noise around us. That is why we need to silence ourselves and listen
to Him in the Gospel and in our experiences.
Dispcipleship
is our calling. As Christians we are called to follow Jesus and be formed
by His Words and life. The everyday Gospel we read leads us to a deeper
knowledge and understanding of who Jesus is, making us more committed
and free in following him. Jesus has called us to know him in his Words,
to offer our life to him, to reflect and pray for his will and to be
his faithful disciples.
