Transpersonal Psychology was born in 1969. Some years later, John Grinder and Richard Bandler accomplished a series of discoveries that originated the fifth force, that is Neuro Linguistic Programming. Even though this name seems complicated at first sight, the content is quite simple and elegant. It is able to collect the major contributions of other trends and go further. It is said that after Psychoanalysis, Behaviorism, Humanistic Psychology and Transpersonal Psychology, NLP has detected the specific behaviors, emotional states and mental strategies of some excellent psychotherapists. NLP is a discovery, not an invention. Grinder and Bandler did not design a system or theory. They worked with people and found out the "First Principles" of the human brain's functioning.
